After studying in Baskent University and Virginia Commonwealth University, Eren Billur graduated and received his PhD in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University in 2013. As a successful researcher at the Center for Precision Forming, he was responsible for the coordination of sheet forming research. His focus is set on comprehensive topics like material characterization, sheet metal forming processes and finite element simulations. Dr. Billur worked as an Assistant Professor of Automotive Engineering at Atilim University, between 2014 and 2018. He is now technical manager of Billur Makine and Billur Metal Form companies, both located in Ankara, Turkey. He has authored/co-authored more than 20 scientific papers (including proceedings) and contributed to four books, including "Hot Stamping of Ultra High Strength Steels," published in late 2018.
