Lapham-Hickey Steel has promoted Michele Summey to the position of vice president-corporate procurement, where she will negotiate and coordinate the buying activities among all seven of the company’s locations. Summey also will remain the Chicago division’s purchasing manager. The company offers a variety of material value-added processing services, including slitting, blanking, oscillating laser cutting, welding, forming and more.

Specialty Metals Processing (SMP), Stow, OH, has announced that Bob Wilson has been named president of the company. Wilson has spent his entire career in the metals industry, and was most recently president of Penn Ohio Metals. SMP is a processor of stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and other specialty metals.

Vero Software, a designer, developer and supplier of CAD/CAM/CAE software, has hired Jeff Nesbitt as sales manager for Canada. Based in Windsor, Ontario, Nesbitt is charged with managing Canadian distributors and direct sales of Vero product lines, as well as with increasing overall brand recognition throughout the country.
