Schuler Inc., Canton, MI, named Steve Healy president, CEO and chairman of the board, effective Oct. 1. Healy replaces former president and CEO Tim McCaughey, who will remain available to the company as vice chairman of the board until March 31, 2014, and as a board member until March 31, 2015. Healy comes from Otis Elevator Co., where he served as vice president and general manager and oversaw strategy and operations in Latin America.

Swedish metalforming-equipment manufacturer AP&T has a new CEO. After 20 yr., Tord Andersson handed over the reins of the company to Magnus Baarman.

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) has begun to search for a replacement for executive director/CEO Mark Tomlinson. As Tomlinson’s tenure winds down, he’ll continue to manage SME’s day-to-day operations and serve as an industry spokesperson.

Metal fabricator Ohio Laser, Plain City, OH, appointed Albert Wittkopp chief operating officer. The firm provides laser tube-, pipe- and plate-cutting services, as well as welding, bending, machining, waterjet-cutting and other metal-fabricating services.
