The Genesee Group, a metal-fabricating and stamping company with plants in Texas and Tennessee, named Randy Kempf president/CEO. Kempf previously served as president/CEO of a public company in Northern Iowa, and brings a wealth of experience in high-speed stamping, fabrication and injection molding. The firm also announced that one of its founders, Dan Fergus, will retire after 31 years at the helm, but will remain on the board of directors.

Tool Ventures International (TVI), a privately owned tool and die and machining company, appointed executive vice president Bryan Bovia as purchasing director; Bill Fritz, engineering manager; Rayme Bracken, vice president, business development; Ron Hoover, controller; and Rob Brooks, plant manager (Alabama). TVI operates facilities in Grand Rapids, MI, Huntsville, AL, and Hyderabad, India.

Chemtool Inc., Crystal Lake, IL, hired Jeffrey Johnson as metalworking fluids manager.

Jorge Areyzaga has been appointed managing director of Trumpf Mexico, having served previously as the firm’s operations manager in Mexico. He’ll report to Trumpf Inc. president and CEO Rolf Beikert.

AMT—The Association for Manufacturing Technology has consolidated all communications functions under the direction of Peter Eelman, vice president—exhibitions and communications. New member recruitment is under the direction of Patrick McGibbon, vice president—strategic information and research. And, member retention initiatives will be developed and directed by Jeffery Traver, vice president—business development. AMT also has a new president: Douglas K. Woods, formerly president of Parlec, Inc., a manufacturer of tooling, workholding and presetting products. Woods previously served AMT as a member and chairman of its board of directors, and as chairman of its Custom Automated Systems Group.

United Performance Metals appointed Jeremy Pearson to head up its international business development efforts. Pearson’s team will work to expand the firm’s current business and create new opportunities globally.

Ted Riddle was named chief operating officer of Pacesetter Steel Service, Inc., Kennesaw, GA.

Pacific Press Technologies, Mt. Carmel, IL, named Paul Villa regional sales manager, responsible for the northern region of the United States.

Sheetmetal-nesting software provider SigmaTek Systems, Cincinnati, OH, appointed Adria Iles to the newly created position of corporate accounts manager, to serve clients with multiple plant locations. She will oversee corporate-level presentations, product demonstrations and large-project implementations.
