The main office and the manufacturing facility of The Lincoln Electric Co. of Canada, Toronto, Ontario, have received ISO 14001 certification. Lincoln Canada’s environmental-management system focuses on reducing waste from production, reducing water and energy consumption and developing and manufacturing environmentally friendly products.

Arnold Magnetic Technologies Rolled Products, Marengo, IL, a manufacturer of ultra-thin metal-alloy strip products, has been approved for certification to AS 9100:2004. The registration addresses the purchase, supply, manufacture and distribution of precision strip, foil, piece parts, wire, bar and rod. The company supplies material—titanium, red metals, aluminum, high-nickel alloys, magnetic alloys and several proprietary alloys—as thin as 0.000069 in., in strips as narrow as 0.03125 in.

Precision metalforming company and custom tooling manufacturer Ramcel Engineering Co., Northbrook, IL, has been recertified to TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000, and has begun the certification process to ISO 14001, which it expects to complete later this year. The company specializes in the application of state-of-the-art technology in the areas of in-line vision systems and in-die sensing.

Metal stamping, gasket and shim manufacturer Ohio Gasket & Shim Co., Inc., Akron, OH, has been certified to ISO/TS 16949:2002 without design. The firm offers short-run prototyping to full production stamping runs, and also offers fabrication capabilities including laser-beam cutting.
