The Bacou-Dalloz Hearing Safety Group has launched a new website, www.hearingportal.com, combining the informational assets of both Howard Leight and Bilsom brands, to provide safety managers with a new resource for hearing-conservation programs. The new site features complete product information for Howard Leight and Bilsom hearing protection devices, including all recognized attenuation ratings, literature downloads, global sales contacts, news archives and a user-friendly search function. Central to HearingPortal.com is a series of short articles designed to address the questions and concerns of safety professionals engaged in the development and implementation of hearing conservation programs. Authored by expert hearing conservationists and edited by noted hearing conservation authority Brad Witt, Sound Source is intended for safety professionals, including industrial hygienists, audiologists, hearing conservationists, students and interested members of the public. Topics include: Understanding Ratings, Earmuffs & Safety Eyewear, A- and C-Weighted Noise Measurements, How NRR is Calculated and more. Coming soon to HearingPortal.com will be an expanded hearing-conservation section, dubbed the Hearing Portal Resource Center, incorporating a number of other practical tools for safety/conservation program managers, hearing conservationists and the general public. Included will be regulatory information, new research findings and educational/motivational tools.
