Yaskawa, Motoman Expanding in Brazil

A new 100,000-sq.-ft. facility near Sao Paulo, Brazil, will soon be the home to Motoman Rototica do Brasil and Yaskawa Electrico do Brasil Ltd., divisions of Yaskawa America, Inc., headquartered in Waukegan, IL. The two divisions, which manufacture AC drives, motion-control products and industrial robots, will operate out of 56,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and 38,000 sq. ft. of office space; another 6000 sq. ft. will be dedicated to training. Some 150 employees will be located on the new campus.
