What is Safety?
Safety should be the top concern in metal forming and fabricating facilities, as humans often interact closely with high-force, high-power, in-motion equipment. From personal protective equipment worn by personnel, to machine-safety systems such as light curtains, guards, safety buttons and more, many products, providers and training systems exist to keep employees from harm’s way.
What is Training?
Safety training, in many cases mandated by OSHA, prepares employees to safely operate equipment, handle various substances and material, and navigate a manufacturing environment safely. Many manufacturers provide incentives for completed safety training and for streaks of non-injury days on the shop floor.
