What are In-Die Operations?
In-Die Operations refer to tasks performed within a metal-stamping die via the stamping press. These tasks include tapping, fastening, assembly, welding and more. Such operations provide an economical and time-saving alternative to performing such tasks outside of the stamping press during secondary operations.
What is Tapping?
In-die tapping is an alternatice to secondary tapping operations, and employs tooling integrated into a stamping die to create screw threads in a sheet metal workpiece during a production stamping operation.
