Hydraulic Tryout Press Headed to VW Die Shop
May 1, 2008Comments The Volkswagen plant in Braunschweig, Germany, soon will have a new hydraulic tryout press in its die-making shop. The new press, a 16,000-kN model from Dieffenbacher, will have a moving bolster and a bed size of 5000 by 2500 mm. It will be equipped with a four-point drawing cushion, ram cushion, impact damping, ram parallel-motion control and a PC control system. The press should hit the floor in September 2008.
