aida-presses-fontaine-spray-suppressionAida-America announced that it has supplied an automated stamping cell to Fontaine Spray Suppression (FSS), Springfield, TN, a manufacturer of spray-suppression products to the trucking industry. The cell features two Aida model NC1-2000(2) gap-frame mechanical presses. FSS engineering manager Rick Buckelew and his team were instrumental from conception to completion of the new cell, say Aida officials.

FSS’s new 200-metric-ton presses replaced progressive-die presses. Upgrading to the new cell and eliminating the coil line reduced the required floor space.  The cell stamps quarter fenders with a 35% production increase over the previous production method.
