Nissin Precision Installs Two Kyori High-Speed Stamping Lines

Automotive-parts supplier Nissin Precision North America (NPNA), Englewood, OH, has installed two state-of-the-art production lines for stamping hybrid vehicle-battery components. Each line includes a Nidec Kyori SS-8 high-speed press, with features including eccentric load support through a precise eight-point slide guiding system; wide bolster to accommodate multistep progressive dies; and dynamic accuracy with specific measurement of thermal displacement and bottom-dead-center repeatability. With 15 Nidec Kyori presses installed at Nissin Kogyo plants in Asia, the presses were a natural fit for the new production lines at NPNA.
Parts stamped on the two lines move to an extensive water-based washing system, and then robotic automation moves the parts to NPNA's proprietary high-speed inspection system for 100% inspection of nearly 4 million parts/mo.
