Aida-DSF-M2-6300-servo-press-TrimLineTrimLine, La Grange, OH, an IATF 16949-approved automotive supplier and high-volume metal stamper specializing in the design and fabrication high precision tooling, has purchased a second Aida 630-ton progressive-die direct-drive servo press, a Model DSF-M2-6300. The firm, which installed its first 630-ton Aida servo press earlier this year, has taken advantage of its pendulum-motion capability to achieve a 25- to 30-percent increase in run rate (to 51 strokes/min.) compared to producing on a conventional mechanical press. And, say TrimLine officials, it would be able to run even faster if not for a stacking bottleneck at the end of the press.
