Ascential Technologies Appoints Divisional CEO to Specialty Industrial Division

Ascential Technologies, Grand Rapids, MI, a provider of automated diagnostic, inspection and test equipment and services, has appointed Scott Watts divisional CEO of its Specialty Industrial division. The division includes the company’s transportation division, better known within the automotive industry as Burke Porter, and its general industries line of businesses. The division serves numerous markets including automotive, aviation, metalworking, appliance and electric motors. Watts will provide leadership for the execution of the division’s strategic goals, while building its go-to-market and operational capabilities to increase customer focus and satisfaction.
Watts has held leadership roles working with automation integrators to meet the diverse needs of automotive OEMs and their Tier One suppliers, along with positions of progressive responsibility and executive leadership at Dematic Corp. for more than 6 yr. Most recently, he served as the company’s global COO, overseeing project engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance and additional operations. His experience with Dematic, a leading provider of intelligent automated solutions for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, also includes serving as CEO, Americas.
