Ascent Aerospace Expands Michigan Facility

Ascent Aerospace, Macomb Township, MI, has added 42,000 sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space, which will serve as the U.S. base of operations for the company’s integration business, dedicated to designing and managing the production of turnkey assembly lines for aerostructures.
Manufacturing space will be shared with an adjacent Ascent facility, Global Tooling Systems, for a combined 200,000 sq. ft. A 40,000-sq.-ft.-high bay space will be dedicated to support the manufacture and testing of large automated assembly lines. Ascent will continue using the remaining manufacturing space for production of assembly fixtures, trim and drill fixtures, and work platforms.

Strip-Measurement System Slated for Voestalpine

Voestalpine Precision Strip has ordered a third Shapeline 500 flatness-measurement system for a hardening line at its mill in Munkfors, Sweden. It will be the 10th Shapeline system supplied globally to the company.
The main application for this system: optimize process and quality for primarily valve steel. It will be equipped with Shapeline’s unique double-line laser projector.

Coe Revamps Website to Ease Navigation

Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI, has launched a redesigned responsive website,, which adapts to computer, tablet and mobile-phone screen sizes, making it simple to use on any device. The new website is divided into areas that focus on company background, complete coil-handling and feed systems, stand-alone equipment, service offerings, and sales-contact information. The site also includes a new blog area titled Intel, where Coe provides technical tips, current news and editorials.
The site is designed so users can scroll through the various sections rather than having to drill down into multiple pages. Within the equipment and systems areas, specifications are provided as well as photos, video and downloadable literature.
