Tebis America Opens Southeast U.S. Office

Owing to growth, Tebis America, Troy, MI, has announced the opening of a new Southeast U.S. office, located in Greenville, SC. It will support efforts in Tennessee, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Florida, and Alabama. Tebis specializes in CAD/CAM systems for design and manufacturing, servicing the tool, die, mold, aerospace and automotive manufacturing industries.
The opening of the Southeast U.S. office comes on the heels of Tebis America moving to a larger corporate headquarters in Troy, MI and the opening of its Orange County, CA, office to service the West Coast. Tebis America continues to achieve sales increases over last year’s reporting and has shown a large increase in the number of new customers, according to company officials.

Hilco Global Seeks Buyer for MI Steel Processor

Hilco Global (www.hilcoglobal.com), Northbrook, IL, announced that it has purchased a steel-processing facility located at the Lee Steel Corp. site in Romulus, MI. The deal, approved in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, includes a 200,000-sq.-ft. plant and all of the steel-processing equipment located at that site.
“Hilco Global is planning to run an aggressive marketing and sale process to find a buyer for this state-of-the-art steel-processing complex,” says Ben Nortman, executive vice president.
Lee Steel had been processing and selling steel products since 1947. Prior to bankruptcy, it had invested heavily in expansion and equipment.

JMT USA (www.jmtusa.com), Salt Lake City, UT, a provider of machine tools such as press brakes, plate rolls and fiber lasers to the fabrication industry, recently added to its sales staff. Jerry Donahue joins JMT as Northeastern regional sales manager; Steve Tillinghast as regional sales manager for Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky; and Alan Hamilton as Western regional sales manager.
