Coldwater Machine Establishes Solid-State Joining Center

Technology for joining lightweight and dissimilar materials will be the focus of a new Solid State Joining Center hosted by Coldwater Machine Co., Coldwater, OH. The new unit includes a weld-development lab currently equipped with five friction-welding systems for testing and low-volume production. Automated Heattreating Systems Commissioned for Automotive Aluminum

Heattreater Expands Services for Aluminum Treatment

Al-Fe Heat Treating, Wadsworth, OH, has added glycol quenching to its list of NADCAP-accredited aluminum heattreat services. The process improves control over quenching speeds when compared to hot-water quenching, beneficial for parts with thin sections or wall thicknesses.
