Keats Opens Stamping Plant in Mexico

Keats Manufacturing has opened a new manufacturing plant in El Marques, Queretaro, Mexico, the third manufacturing plant under the Keats corporate umbrella. It operates under the name Keats de Mexico and manufacture complex precision metal stampings, wire forms and assemblies for the automotive, electrical-distribution, medical, electronics, appliance and home-automation industries.
The building is approximately 15,000 sq. ft. and will employ 15 to 20 people. Total investment will be approximately $1 million, according to company officials.
Keats Manufacturing was established in 1958 in Chicago, IL, and currently operates 180 production machines and employs 175 people in its three plants in Wheeling, IL, El Paso, TX, and the new plant in Mexico.
