Fluid Cell Press to Strengthen Robinson Helicopter

The 617,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility of Robinson Helicopter, Torrance, CA, announced plans to install a fluid cell press from Avure Technologies, Columbus, OH. The press will form structural and reinforcement sheetmetal components, and support rapid-prototyping efforts.
“The new high-pressure press is well suited to meet today’s imperative for less and less labor involvement, enabling Robinson to meet competition from lower-wage countries,” says Tres Frank, Avure’s business development manager, Americas.
