Metalformer Bazz Houston, Garden Grove, CA, has been certified as an ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) registered facility. ITAR designation certifies compliance with the provisions of the Arms Export Control Act, authorizing the company to manufacture and ship military and defense parts. Bazz Houston manufactures springs, stampings and wire forms, as well as assemblies and tooling.
The Robotic Industries Association (RIA), Ann Arbor, MI, has announced its first group of Certified Robot Integrators, since launching the program in January 2012. Receiving the designation: JR Automation, Holland, MI; Motion Controls Robotics, Fremont, OH; Tennessee Rand, Chattanooga, TN; and Wolf Robotics, Ft. Collins, CO. To become certified, integrators undergo an on-site audit, safety training and hands-on testing of key personnel.
