Atlantic Tool & Die Adds Laser-Scanning Capabilities

To enable its engineers to digitally scan die sections, weld fixtures and inspection gauges, and then directly upload the information to machining centers and wire-EDM machines, Atlantic Tool & Die Co., Cleveland, OH, has added a portable Faro Arm measurement system equipped with a laser-scanning head. Adding the technology enables ATD, which manufactures metal stampings and value-added assemblies, to expand into reverse engineering and metrology services.
