Fanuc America Showcases Automated Welding Solutions and Simplified Robot-Programming Interface
October 31, 2024Comments
Numerous robots and cobots starred at the Fanuc booth at FABTECH 2024 in Orlando, including the CRX-10iA/L cobot mounted on an integrated 7th robot-transfer unit. We spied the cell (see photo) simulating arc welding at one station while an operator would then be able to load the second station. Also on display, alongside the new CRX-30iA/L cobot: a new drop-center positioner with an1889-mm reach, demonstrating welding of a skid-steer cab on an integrated auxiliary axis.
Also making its debut at FABTECH: the model M-950iA/500 heavyweight robot offering a 500-kg payload capacity and 2830-mm reach, showcased in a friction stir-welding demonstration. And Fanuc used the stage to introduce its all-new programming interface designed to allows welders with little to no robotic experience to create programs easily, as evidenced in a live welding demonstration.
