Manitoba Service Center to Welcome New Slitting Line

Cascadia Metals, a network of steel service centers operating in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest of the United States, has ordered a new Strand Extensioner slitting line from Herr-Voss Stamco.

The new line, for the Cascadia facility in Manitoba, Canada, will provide rewound coils and offer leveling and burr reduction of slit material. Capacity: 0.012 to 1⁄4- in. material thickness, with incoming coil capacity to 50,000 lb. by 72 in. wide.
