Hypertherm Earns OSHA Recognition
October 1, 2011CommentsThe U.S. Dept. of Labor has bestowed its OSHA VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) Star worksite status upon Hypertherm, Hanover, NH, a manufacturer of plasma-arc and laser-beam cutting systems. OSHA VPP Star status recognizes organizations that maintain injury and illness rates significantly below U.S. government averages for their industry. For 2010, Hypertherm experienced less than one incident/100 full-time employees, compared to the industry average of nearly eight incidents/100 workers.
