Wohlers Report 2023 Adds Content on Large-Format Additive Manufacturing

Wohlers Associates, powered by ASTM International, has released its Wohlers Report 2023, taking a deep dive into the growth of the additive manufacturing (AM) industry, and providing insights from 10 industry sectors. New content includes an examination of large-format AM applications, including aerospace and construction, as well as a look at the growing number of AM standards and codes. 

“The AM industry continues to expand into end-use production applications,” says Terry Wohlers, head of advisory services and market intelligence at Wohlers Associates. “This trend will grow as standards are further developed and adopted.”

The report cites an 18.3-percent worldwide growth in AM products and services.

An expanded section in the report offers insights on the future of AM, including thoughts on automated production, emerging applications, and workforce development.
