Enervex Adds Fiber Laser for Venting Applications

Enervex Inc., Alpharetta, GA, a provider of venting equipment and systems, has added a Knuth HD fiber-laser system to its suite of Knuth machines that encompass the entire manufacturing process. At Enervex, the process begins by cutting material on a Knuth KHT 3206 F shear. From there, parts are cut on the company’s new Knuth Laser-Jet HD 3015. The standard version includes a manually retractable cutting table as a low-cost option for cutting large-sized sheets, according to company officials. After being bent on a Knuth AHK A 32160 press brake and KRM 20/4/0 three-roll bending machine, the parts are ready for assembly.

Dallas Industries Debuts Redesigned Website

A visit to reveals a newly designed responsive website from Dallas Industiries, Troy, MI, a manufacturer of coil-handling and press-feeding equipment and controls. The new site, optimized for eased navigation on mobile, tablet or desktop devices, features a cleaner layout and details the company’s core competencies and deliverables. It also highlights the variety of products the company offers to its customers, including air- and servo-driven feeds, pull-through and powered straighteners, single- and double-end coil reels, load cars, coil cradles, threading tables, and coil-threading/restricting devices as well as its lineup of controls that include ProfileSelect, SyncLoop and AutoSet in addition to system upgrades.

Cambridge Intl. Unifies Two Plants, Opens Innovation Center

Cambridge International, Cambridge, MD, a manufacturer of metal conveyor belts and architectural mesh, has unified two plants at its 237,000-sq.-ft. headquarters location and also opened a 7,000-sq.-ft. innovation center at this location.
Following the 1998 merger of Cambridge Wire Cloth and Maryland Wire Belts, Cambridge International operated two separate facilities near one another, and over a recent six-month span, moved all conveyor-belt and wire-mesh manufacturing into its headquarters. The move included 65 employees and 37 pieces of equipment and is expected to greatly improve operations, enhance productivity and increase capacity to meet growing product demand, according to company officials.
Cambridge optimized the footprint of its main building to unite the workforce, leverage synergies and strengthen operations. Renovations included a new product-development area, manufacturing and process improvements, and numerous facility upgrades. Recent interior and lobby improvements include exhibits that trace Cambridge’s 105-year history and highlight the company’s mission, vision, values and people.
The new innovation center is a dedicated product development and testing lab that includes an engineering department and test conveyors to showcase innovation and improvements to visiting clients. Engraved plaques showcasing the company’s 38 active patents, and trademarks line the center’s walls.
