Tebis Wins Digital, Science and Technology Award

Tebis America, Troy, MI, has received the DiSciTech Award from Corp! magazine. The software company, specializing in CAD/CAM systems for design and manufacturing, and servicing the tool, die, mold, aerospace and automotive manufacturing industries, was recognized for best-in-class software in the CAD/CAM market for manufacturing companies. The DiSciTech Award recognizes Michigan companies that are “leading the way in Digital, Science and Technology and making Michigan a better place to live and work,” according to Corp! officials. New Slitter at United Performance CA Facility

United Performance Metals' West Coast facility, in La Mirada, CA, recently installed a 12-in.-wide slitter capable of processing coils ranging in thicknesses from 0.015 to 0.125 in. 

“The addition will benefit our customers by keeping lead times short and allowing us to deliver heavier-gauge slit stainless steel and nickel alloys within a few days,” explains Chris Weber, West Region branch manager for the service center. The facility also maintains additional equipment capable of performing extensive slitting and sawing applications.

Bodycote Earns First European MedAccred Accreditation

Heattreating-services provider Bodycote has announced that its Derby, United Kingdom, location is the first facility in Europe to earn the MedAccred accreditation. MedAccred is an industry-managed approach to ensuring manufacturing-process quality throughout the medical-device supply chain.
