Oberg Industries, Freeport, PA, a contract manufacturer of machines and stamped metal components and assemblies, has hired Mark Pelo as director of manufacturing. He’ll help advance the firm’s work with customers on design for manufacturability;

Waterjet-cutting equipment manufacturer Omax Corp., Kent, WA, named Chris Baer senior sales manager, government and education. He’ll oversee all U.S. Department of Defense and government accounts for the firm, manage sales to 4-yr. colleges and universities and develop training curriculum for educational customers;

Techni Waterjet, Lenexa, KS, named Charlie Allen service technician for the east coast. Techni manufactures 2D and 3D waterjet-cutting systems;

Bunting Magnetics Co., Newton, KS, named Steven Clark territory manager for New England, and Steve Swaney industrial territory manager for the central United States (KS, NE, ND, SD, MN, IA and MO). Swaney will service customers in the metal stamping, recycling, plastics and general manufacturing industries. The firm also named Donald Lindstrom general manager of its Magnet Applications, Inc., subsidiary in DuBois, PA, to manage custom-magnet design and manufacturing;

Harrington Hoists Inc., Manheim, PA, promoted Bret Lussow from business development sales manager to vice president business development. In addition to continuing his focus on sales and sales training, product development and marketing, Lussow’s responsibilities will expand into engineering and customer service. German Building-Products Fabricator Adds Seventh Blanking Line

Schrag Edging Profiles, a German manufacturer of press-brake-formed purlins, box gutters and other profiles for industrial and commercial buildings, has commissioned its seventh Schuler blanking line. The line includes a decoiler, Vario straightener, coil laminator, roll feed, Vario hole punch and cut-to-length shear, and handles coils to 12 metric tons and 1600-mm wide.
