Aluminum Etching Technology Gains Patent

Houghton International Inc. and Houghton Technical Corp. gained a United States patent for its aluminum acid-etching technology, formulated to provide a premium matte finish at low gloss values with minimum aluminum dissolution.  The technology is said to significantly reduce etch time, waste sludge by more than 50 percent and performs at lower temperatures as compared to conventional caustic etching. This process provides a uniform matte finish, hides extrusion lines and is not sensitive to zinc contamination.

Dengensha America, Bedford, OH, added Scott Kudlinski as Technical Service Engineer and Jeff Romito as Parts Business Specialist. Kudlinski is responsible for providing customers in the Southern territory with technical service and support for the company’s line of resistance welding equipment, and is working out of Dengensha America’s Cincinnati office. Romito is responsible for supporting customers in North America, Central America and Canada, and will work out of the Bedford office.

Beckwood Relocates

Beckwood Press Company, Fenton, MO, maker of custom hydraulic presses, automation systems, and the Triform line of precision forming equipment, has announced that it will transition its corporate headquarters to a 55,000-sq.-ft. state-of-the-art facility in the nearby and newly constructed Fenton Logistics Park.
