"PMA members tell us that advocacy on the federal level a top benefit of membership," Sickles says. "They are concerned with what government action, and inaction, means to them.  Today we have polarization in government, which makes it difficult to move legislation forward. This in turn creates uncertainty by manufacturers, who need to have a feeling for what is coming down the road, and the potential impact of new legislation on their businesses."
