FluidForming will display its deformation process that precisely shapes sheetmetal into a predefined geometry by using fluid under high pressure. The deformation process utilizes water at pressures up to 60,000 PSI as the direct force-to-form, while maintaining absolute control of die surfaces and thus eliminating die deflection.
By applying a uniform force to the sheet, the fluid shapes it into the form of the tool. The process results in uniform distribution of sheet thicknesses and avoids abrupt changes in stress, ensuring high dimensional accuracy and stability. www.ffamericas.com
