Grant to Prepare Engineers to be Entrepreneurs
March 1, 2011Comments Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has received a $75,000 grant from the Kern Family Foundation to fund the second part of a program aimed at providing engineers with entrepreneurial skills and experience. In the first phase of the program, WPI used a $50,000 Kern grant to create a new course titled Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation, as well as two workshops to teach instructors how to integrate the subject into their courses. Second-phase activities will aim to broaden the reach of entrepreneurship education at WPI.
