The new Ultra Force Extended UX series from Dadco, Plymouth, MI, fits the standard full-height gas-spring envelope with 25 to 55 percent more force on contact, meaning reduced die-construction costs with fewer cylinders. The springs come in four models from 75- to 150-mm dia. with contact forces from 5356 to 21,447 lb.; stroke length peaks at 200 mm.
The Ultra Force Extended series incorporates Dadco’s UltraPak cartridge technology—the cartridge is comprised of a superior bearing and seal, according to company officials, to extend gas-spring life and provide good wear characteristics.
