The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT), East Hartford, CT, has been named an Innovation Center under the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association (RIMA) Manufacturing Technology Innovation program, designed to help the development and growth of Rhode Island’s small manufacturing companies.
The RIMA program provides matching grant funding to companies seeking access to expertise for becoming more efficient, productive and profitable. 3D printing with metals and plastics, precision-machining optimization, reverse-engineering projects, business assessments, prototyping and other product-development assistance will be conducted in collaboration with CCAT’s Advanced Manufacturing Center and its team of technology professionals.
“With our expertise in the aerospace and defense, biomedical, and alternative-energy manufacturing sectors and our experience supporting smaller manufacturing companies in the region, we look forward to partnering with RIMA to bolster manufacturing innovation and growth through this exciting new program,” says Elliot Ginsberg, CCAT president and CEO.
