Misumi USA, Inc., Schaumburg, IL, has expanded its lines of RoHS-compliant
Hexagonal Posts for fastening, Standoff
hexagonal posts, used for mechanical fastening, standoff and general assembly of small devices and finished products, especially in electronics and general machine building.

New small-diameter (4-5.5-mm) hex posts, in 303 stainless with one end tapped and one end threaded or both ends tapped, are ideal for printed circuit board assembly. Available in lengths from 5 to 20 mm and configurable in 1-mm increments, they allow ideal dimensional standoff for a particular design.

New hexagonal posts with configurable pilot diameter and length also are offered. Available with one end threaded and one end tapped or both ends tapped, they feature lengths configurable in 1-mm increments from 20 to 800 mm. Also available are new hexagonal posts with side tapped holes for temporary positioning with both ends threaded; length is configurable in 1-mm increments from 25 to 800 mm. Choices of materials are 1018 carbon steel and 304 or 316 stainless steel. The 1018 carbon steel is available with black oxide or EN plating.

Many threaded configurations of Misumi hex posts now can be specified with a fine-thread option.
