The new Ultra Force Extended UX series from Dadco, Inc., Plymouth, MI, fits the standard full-height gas-spring envelope with 25 to 55 percent more force on contact than standard springs, meaning reduced die construction costs with fewer cylinders. The series consists of four models, ranging from 75- to 150-mm dia. with contact forces from 5356 to 21,447 lb. The springs are available in stroke lengths to 200 mm, with a variety of welded and attachable mounts.
Dadco also offers the new patented SLN.180 Micro nitrogen-gas lifter, providing an all-in-one approach to guided-lift applications. The robust lifter, with a 50-mm OD, has a keyed guide rod to prevent rotation and eliminate the need for additional guidance components. Complete with a built-in dampening device, the SLN.180 is ideal for progressive dies, and is available with basic and slotted guide-rod options for single, multi-point or rail-lift operations. The company’s Micro 180 gas spring, housed inside the guide rod, provides reliable lifting force and facilitates rapid, simple repair.
