Representatives from the Hilma Division of Carr Lane Roemheld are on hand to discuss the company’s self-locking wedge clamps. Powered by spring force, the new offerings are ideal for clamping dies with a straight clamping edge. Since the clamp operates by spring force, no permanent hydraulic supply is necessary, and only 160-bar pressure is necessary for release. The self-locking clamping bolts are monitored by inductive switches and visual position monitoring. Compact and robust, the wedge clamps can withstand temperatures to 160 deg. C, and come with a rust-protective coating. Highly adaptable to numerous applications, the wedge clamps offer maximum flexibility when used with hydraulic connections, even in the standard range of cylinder diameters from 35 to 85 mm.
