Amada Press System America Inc. will display two direct-drive servo presses, models SDE8018i3 and SDE1522i3; one crank-motion press, TP-60FX; an automated feed system, Orii LCC06HR3; and the MEC spring machine, model SH-8A. The North American debut of the SDE8018i3 features its new i3 control system, enabling high-accuracy forming with improved productivity, and allowing direct connection to an automatic feed system for control of the press and the feeder with one operator interface. The SDE8018i3 demonstration will showcase the ability to reduce noise on the production floor via special slide-motion programming. And, the firm will partner with Universal Robotics to demonstrate automated press loading and unloading using a Yaskawa cobot.
Also being debuted: remote service via augmented reality (AR) technology. Guests will be able to try on the AR equipment and will be guided remotely in real-life situations on how to operate the TP-60FX press and address errors and other issues.
