Arisa S.A. of Logrono, Spain, which manufactures lines of mechanical and servo presses along with related coil-line automation systems and technical services, is now a Nidec Group company, announced Nidec Minster Corp. CEO David Winch. The Minster Group will manage and integrate the skills, synergies and assets of Arisa S.A. into a broader global product offering.

Founded in 1940 and with approximately 113 employees, Arisa has presses and related machinery operating on five different continents. The company will maintain local production and management in Spain.

The addition of Arisa will provide Minster with production capability in Europe in addition to the United States and China.

“This acquisition provides Minster with a larger and more competitive global footprint in the machinery, automation and services marketplace,” says Winch. “Arisa’s products are a good fit for us since there is little overlap with Nidec Minster’s products. Arisa’s customer base and market has been with the European automotive community’s Tier One and Two suppliers.”

The addition of Arisa will provide Minster with production capability in Europe in addition to the United States and China.
