Macrodyne Acquires German Press Manufacturer Dunkes

Macrodyne Technologies Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, a manufacturer of hydraulic presses and press lines for general metal forming applications, hot stamping, deep drawing, coining, hydroforming, and other applications, has acquired Dunkes GmbH, a manufacturer of hydraulic presses to 3000 tons for metal forming and assembly applications. Dunkes also produces custom riveting and straightening presses (manual and automated).

“Dunkes is a perfect fit to join the Macrodyne family of companies,” says Kevin Fernandes, Macrodyne president and CEO. “Its strong customer-focused culture, top-end technologies, and worldclass customer base in Europe help both parties in terms of our international expansion plans.”

Together, the combined company will offer expertise in an extensive portfolio of hydraulic presses for a variety of applications, with pressing equipment ranging from 10 to 30,000 tons. As part of Macrodyne Technologies Inc., Dunkes will do business as Dunkes–A Macrodyne Company.
