The configurable PunchCam module in MetaCam software from Metamation is designed with intuitive and simple-to-use features, all designed to support users’ CNC punching machines, according to company officials.
Starting with a variety of CAD import or design methods, PunchCam provides fluid transfer straight into tooling. It reportedly offers a smart interactive tooling solution that presents various methods for tooling certain features, along with simple tool selection and visualization of any tooling problems on the part.
PunchCam also contains support for multiple tool types including wheel, multi-indexing, deburring, cluster, custom, etc., as well as advanced tool-sequencing options for optimal machine use. It contains support for multiple machine brands, makes and models along with automation support and a seamless link with other MetaCam modules such as CAD, Nesting and Bending.
