Balluff, Florence, KY, will demonstrate how metalformers can apply sensors to increase productivity in stamping operations and weld cells. Its die-protection sensors provide assurance that parts are being produced to customer spec, and that the die is protected from double-hit damage. In-die sensors can verify part-out, slug-out, bend angle, shut height, press parallelism and other die-related conditions.
The firm also offers weld-cell audits to identify incorrect sensor application and inadequate sensor protection from heat, slag and loading impact. On display will be products and techniques—including bunkering, sensor repositioning and shielding with silicone wrap and tubing—to protect sensors from weld-cell hostilities.
