Mitutoyo-non-contact-measurement-system-QV-Pro-SeriesMitutoyo America Corp. has introduced the Quick Vision Pro Series, the latest generation of its vision-based measurement systems.  Packed with high-performance enhancements to improve 3D non-contact measurement and productivity, the machine features a newly developed StrobeSnap vision measuring function that quickens run time by 35 to 45 percent regardless of measurement position or continuity. Auto focus on the QV Pro Series is approximately 39 percent faster than previous models, say company officials, without loss of accuracy.

An optional stream function realizes high throughput using non-stop measurements that synchronizes the main X-Y unit drive and strobe lighting. Stream takes images intermittently without stopping the stage and simultaneously performs batch measurements, optimizing measurement speed.

An optional tracking auto focus feature (TAF) employs a laser tracker that keeps the part in focus while moving the joystick, eliminating the need to manually refocus on the part if it is not flat. As a part program runs, TAF keeps it in focus so the program does not have to stop for auto focus, and stops potential errors from occurring if the part is out of focus. This feature reportedly reduces measurement times by 30 percent.

All QV Pro Series machines can be retrofitted with stream capability, RGB (red, green, blue) illumination systems, and side-mounted touch probe kits.
