Schuler Adds New Press-Automation System to MI Facility
August 1, 2017Comments
Now on display at the Schuler facility in Canton, MI, through the end of December 2017: the firm’s Intra Trans transfer system, designed to mount between the uprights of single presses. Parts move in the transport direction via independently movable carriages, which sit on the transfer rails, powered by servo drives.
The compact design of the Intra Trans means that it needs only the same space as a progressive die, making it ideal for retrofitting and reducing the per-unit cost of existing progressive-die presses. Use the transfer system on presses with a maximum bed size of 19 by 122 in.
