EPS-Processed Steel Gains GM and Chrysler Approval

The Material Works (TMW), Ltd., Red Bud, IL, announced that the strip steel it processes using eco pickled surface (EPS) technology has been approved by General Motors and Chrysler as a replacement for acid-pickled steel. Both automakers reviewed tests on the EPS steel, for paint performance and weldability, sponsored by a steel service center and performed by ACT, Hillsdale, MI, and AET Integration, Wixom, MI.
