Metal Supermarkets Announces Contest Winners, and Welcomes New Ownership at Two Locations

Metal Supermarkets has announced the six winners of its 10th annual Metal My Way contest. The grand prize winner: Cindy Chinn, Chester, NE, for her submission “The Peacock.” Cindy worked with copper sheets over a framework of rebar and pipe to create the body of a peacock. She used fabricated mild-steel rod and scrap metal to construct the legs and head while the wings consist of copper rods and tubing.
Metal Supermarkets also awarded projects in these five categories: Vehicle, Artistic and Design, Furniture and Home, Industrial or Shop and Knife.
In other news, Metal Supermarkets welcomed Manish and Parina Shroff as the new owners of its Waukesha, WI store. Manish has previous leadership and customer-service experience in a variety of corporate roles including Deloitte and Ernst and Young. And with a background in account administration and customer-relationship management with US Filter-Envirex, Parina will lend her organizational skills to the store’s day-to-day operations.
Lastly, the firm welcomes new ownership of its south Las Vegas store—Jim Issertell and Andrea Hellewell. The pair also own the Metal Supermarkets store in Ogden, UT.
