Vanadium-Carbide Tool Coatings
March 1, 2008Comments
TD Center, Columbus, IN, presents thermally diffused (TD) coatings composed of super-pure, ultra-dense vanadium carbide. Coatings will not flake, peel or spall-off even under the most severe forces. Tooling treated with TD coatings can have an extended life of eight times or more compared to untreated components. Use it on metalforming tooling, draw dies, tube mandrels, carbide forms, shear and stab blades, punches, rolls, tube-mill rolls and other steel surfaces. TD Center offers two advanced surface treatments, VC and Nova3, with improved lubricity and increased hardness.
