Synthetic Lube Can Replace Vanishing Oils
March 1, 2008Tower Oil & Technology Co., Chicago, IL, will showcase KleneDraw 3344, a synthetic water-extendable metalforming lubricant that can replace vanishing oils in many applications. It contains a newly developed corrosion-inhibitor package that provides rust protection for wet stacked parts and is safe for all metal alloys. It is nonflammable, simple to mix and contains no VOCs. The odorless lubricant contains no oil, sulfur or chlorine. Users can weld over the residue without creating hazardous or unpleasant fumes.
KleneDraw 3344 can be used for a variety of metalforming operations including punching, perforating, multi-stage forming and drawing, and rollforming. It provides superior tool life, according to company officials, and dries to a clean nonsticky film or dry film depending on end-use dilution.
