Quaker Chemical and Houghton International to Combine

Process-fluid and chemical-specialties providers Quaker Chemical Corp., Conshohocken, PA, and Houghton International Inc., Valley Forge, PA, announced that they have agreed to combine the companies. Together, their metalworking platforms will provide fluids and services for the automotive, aerospace, heavy-equipment, metals, mining, machinery and container industries, among others. Completion of the transaction is expected by the end of 2017 or early 2018, and the companies will continue to operate independently until that point.
