Metal Mates, Glenview, IL, introduces a line of lubricants engineered for use on advanced high-strength steels and in difficult drawing, stamping, piercing and flanging applications. The choice of VS-HSS, OVS-HSS or HDP-HSS lubricant depends on the severity of the forming application and the grade and thickness of the AHSS. These high-performance lubricants combine anti-wear, extreme-pressure and corrosion protection for the complete range of high-strength steels including dual phase, transformation induced plasticity, complex phase and martensitic alloys.

The lubes can be applied by spray, brush, roll coat or drip. They won’t becoming sticky and gummy as they move through the critical segments in progressive dies, and none of the lubricants require part cleaning before welding.
